Biomedicine Group of Companies was established in 1981 by Dr. E. Spanos and quickly gained the medical community’s trust due to the high-quality, cost effective health services it provides.
Biomedicine is a leading Primary Healthcare Services provider in Greece, consisting of twenty-five (25) autonomous diagnostic centers (covering more than 30.000 sq. m.) and three (3) Secondary Care Clinics with over 1.700.000 visits per year.
Biomedicine is staffed with approximately 1.500 highly-qualified personnel with excellent scientific training, 300 of which are specialized physicians.
Biomedicine’s impressive development is based upon the creditability of its laboratory results. A few of Biomedicine’s distinctions includes first place in the Program NSEQE – National System of External Quality Evaluation (200 laboratories) and second place in the External Quality Evaluation Comparisons Program headed by BIORAD Laboratories (500 laboratories).
Biomedicine also participates in Programs of External Quality Control for Immunological and Molecular Diagnostic Tests [College of American Pathologists (CAP)], Blood Analyses (UKNeQAS) and Cytogenetics Diagnostic Tests (CEQA).
Biomedicine is the only medical diagnostic laboratory in Greece and one of the few throughout Europe, which has been accredited with ISO 9001 and ISO 15189.
